Essential skills development,
for every school

We know that school staff need to acquire new skills to meet the challenges faced in 21st century schools.

With courses covering Mental Health First Aid, Challenging Behaviour in the Classroom or Restorative Practice, Just Education works with schools and MATs to upskill nominated staff or to cascade training. Training courses can be delivered on site or at one of our regional training events.

We understand that the quality of CPD that schools use really matters when it comes to improving teacher quality and pupil attainment, leading to a reluctance to spend limited budgets on external provision.  Our courses are delivered by experienced classroom practitioners and senior leaders, together with a combination of evidenced-based research and external accreditation.

Maximising the quality of teaching through the effective development of teachers and teaching assistants will therefore be at the top of any school’s priorities.

Why choose Just Education?

We do our best to ensure that the staff we provide to schools have access to plenty of opportunities to maintain and keep their classroom skills current. Having developed a menu of CPD options, we wanted to give schools the same access to training courses delivered by our highly qualified and experienced trainers even if they do not require temporary staff.

We are educators first and foremost, with an understanding of the challenges faced by schools today.  Our CPD courses are current, evidence-based and quality assured – whilst maintaining focus on practical application in the classroom.

We are passionately committed to making sure that school staff are trained well for the job they do, whilst offering a fair pricing structure so that schools can spend their limited budgets on high-quality CPD, confident that it will have a positive effect in the classroom and beyond.

Just Education is part of the ParentPay Group, which provides software and services to 10,000 schools across the UK and is a leading player in the education technology sector.

We provide expert input, opportunities for peer collaboration, and for your staff to consider and experiment with their learning.

We understand the problems you want to solve and can help you identify appropriate CPD programmes to implement real change.

Our CPD courses are flexible and can be tailored to your needs, supported by the latest research and evidence within the education sector.

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

Youth MHFA is designed to teach staff how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health. The training develops the skills and confidence to safely address mental health issues in young people aged 8 to 18, with a strong practical focus on how to support a young person experiencing mental distress.

Challenging Behaviour in the Classroom

Influenced by the recent changes to the inspection framework in 2019, our CPD course addresses the key focus area ‘Behaviour and Attitudes.’ While most pupils are well-behaved, disruptive behaviour is a major cause of stress for teachers and can have a lasting impact on the outcomes of the pupils in the class. The topics covered by this course include: understanding why learners misbehave; effective classroom management strategies; adapting to individual needs; teaching learning behaviours to pupils and developing supportive relationships with pupils.

Restorative Practice Intervention

Restorative approaches place harm and its repair at centre stage. The aim is to provide a safe process in which, wherever possible, damaged relationships can be repaired by enabling effective communication. Restorative practice is increasingly being used in schools, supporting students to recognise that all their actions affect others; that they are responsible for their choices and actions and can be held accountable for them.
